Me Before You
Me Before You is a 2012 novel by Jojo Moyes, adapted for the big screen in 2016. Much like movies like The Best of Me, it follows an intriguing love story that takes place over two different time periods and one life-changing decision. In fact, the book was so popular when it came out that Universal Studios decided to turn it into a movie starring Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) as Louisa Clark and Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair) as Will Traynor.
This film tells the story of a 27-year-old woman who cares for others. She meets a man who is disabled and they fall in love. She is faced with a decision that will change both of their lives, and she ultimately has to make the choice.

Though at first, he tries to resist his feelings for Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore) because she’s only 17 years old, they end up falling deeply in love and marry against family opposition. However, tragedy strikes as Jamie die from an illness that could have been avoided if not for neglectful doctors and nurses.
The Choice (2016)
The Choice is a good movie like the best of me about love. It’s set in New York City and stars Benjamin Walker, Alexandra Daddario, and Tom Welling who play Nic (Benjamin), Travis (Alexandra) and Will respectively as three people that meet by chance on their way to work. They all have some connection to life insurance company John Hancock but it doesn’t take long for them to make other connections head over heels in love with one another.
This movie will remind you of movies like the best of me because its storyline is just as unpredictable, sweet, funny and romantic! Not only do they fall madly in love together but there are also twists along the way where things don’t seem so perfect.
The Vow (2012)
The Vow starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams tells the story of a couple who had been in love with each other, but due to an accident are suddenly torn apart. They meet again years after being separated without recognizing one another.
This is definitely my favourite movie like “The Best of Me” because I find it romantic. It also has good acting from all parts involved including actress Rachel McAdams as Paige, actor Channing Tatum as Leo and co-star Queen Latifah as her grandmother Ruthie.

Safe Haven (2013) is a movie like The Best of Me. It also explores the story of two people with intense love and hate for one another after an event in their past fractures them apart, only to have fate intervene years later. Julianne Hough stars as Katie who has tried her best to start over again but can’t seem to shake the memories that are haunting her from when she was just 14 – events so traumatic they left her mute until now.
When she meets Alex at a small North Carolina town nearby where he lives, things between them feel different than what you’d expect because there’s more than sparks flying through this connection.
