  • Go into the Windows Folder, then go to System32 Double-click on Notepad.exe.
  • Choose Notepad in the app, and ensure that that Run As Administrator is on the pane on the right side.
  • Right-click on Notepad within the app and then select Make Shortcut.
    • Pick a spot in which you would like to put the Shortcut.
  • Double-clicking this newly-created Shortcut will open Notepad as an administrator on your computer. It will not ask for an admin password but will request UAC permissions.

  • Create a brand new key under the rules by right-clicking the Run As an icon and choosing the option of New then the key. Give the key a name—key command.
  • Double-click the default to access to activate the Command key, and type the following. You can replace the PC NAME with the name of your computer. The name of your PC can be located within the Control Panel under System. Run As /sacred /user:PCNAME\Administrator “notepad %1”
  • Right-click any document you wish to edit, and then select open Notepad. Notepad with the administrator.
  • You’ll be required to enter your administrator password.

It’s a one-time password prompt, and you won’t have to enter your password the next time you select the feature.
