[100% Working] How to Get Verified on Twitch in 2021

Twitch is a website that allows gamers to stream their gameplay and chat with online viewers in real-time. Verified twitch users have the ability to customize how they appear in the chat, and they also get more frequent customer support from Twitch. If you’re interested in learning about how to get verified on Twitch, keep reading!

This blog post will give you all of the information that you need for verification- including what it means, why it’s useful, and how to do it. We’ll go over everything from getting your account set up properly (and we’ll even tell you some tips for boosting your chances!), through submitting an application form and waiting patiently for approval. You’ve got this!

Requirements for Becoming a Verified Twitch Partner?

Get Verified on Twitch
  • You must stream at least 3 times a week.
  • Your account also has to be verified through Twitter API. That is, your followers on Twitter have to be verified by Twitch’s system.
  • There are some streaming requirements for each month, if you do not meet these requirements, your partnership will expire.
  • You should be an active user on Twitch, not a bot.
  • You must abide by the Twitch Partnership Agreement and the Rules of Conduct while streaming on Twitch.
  • You need to make sure you have a verified Twitter account (using verified photos) and fill out all information in your profile completely.

How many followers do I need to get verified on Twitch?

To be verified on Twitch, you need to have at least 7,500 followers.

Followers are verified using Twitter API. When you sign up for a verified account on Twitch, the system checks your follower count through Twitter API for suspicious or no activity patterns. If there are no irregularities then a verified account will be created automatically.

To increase the likelihood of your application getting verified please make sure that your profile is public and has all relevant information filled out, including bio and picture which shows how many people are viewing your channel currently because this increases the authenticity of it being an active account. You also need to use one of these accounts: @Twitch, @TwitchGaming, or @Twitcher so that they can send you a follow request. This is verified as well and helps them make sure you are a real person, not a bot.

What Will Happen After You Have a Verified Twitch Account?

Twitch has verified some of the biggest names in gaming. Verified accounts on Twitch will have a custom badge and a green checkmark on their profile, as well as the ability to live stream console games exclusively from Xbox One or PlayStation 4.

Verified status doesn’t mean that you won’t need to work hard to build your audience. You’ll still have to put in some legwork if you want your verified account to start gaining more viewers and followers.

It’s also important for us at Sporcle not to base our verification process on the number of followers an account has – we’re looking for influential gamers who embody what we do best: providing entertaining and educational content for all audiences (yes, that includes 18+).

How do I get verified on Twitch without being a partner?

Verification on Twitch simply means “this is the verified account of the person it says it is.” When you see verified accounts, that user has proved to Twitch that they are who they say they are.

Typically, verified accounts are reserved for high-profile users with lots of followers. But if you’re looking for a way to get verified without being partnered, there’s actually a pretty good chance it can happen!

Just follow these steps:

  1. If you haven’t already, create an account on Twitch and connect your social media accounts (Twitter & Facebook).
  2. Before asking for verification, make sure you’ve followed all other guidelines outlined in our Branding Guidelines. We need to verify this request comes from the actual person/company/brand associated with the channel.
  3. Make a post on your verified Twitter account using the following template: “@TwitchTVSupport Hey! I’m [your name / company / brand]. Please verify my Twitch channel at xxxxx. Thanks!”
  4. Click this link to fill out our form for verification requests.
  5. Once you fill in that form, it will be sent to us here at Twitch Headquarters and we’ll get back to you soon.

There are no guarantees that your request will be verified by Twitch, however, verified accounts are reserved for high-profile individuals/companies/brands only so the chance is very good if you follow these steps!
